stop being a dick and just go get this album

I was going to write my first post ranting about an article in the Guardian where they suck on Skrillex's prostate in an attempt to seem down with the kids, but instead I'm going to be positive because I just have to tell everyone about Danny Brown's latest album XXX. I started listening to Danny Brown about a year ago, he had some really dope tracks, good beats, nice rhymes, interesting voice, but his first album was far from perfect. When I saw that he'd released a new LP I was excited to hear what it was like, and damn, this shit blew my mind. Danny Brown has gone a little bit weird, probably from the copious amounts of crazy drugs he's been taking, he's lost his baggy jeans, big t-shirts and dreads and is now rocking tight jean shorts and a side fringe with half his head shaved, dude looks like an emo, it's odd. But enough about his look, this album sounds like the soundtrack to a drug fueled space orgy in a post-apocalyptic Detroit. Most of the beats on the album are straight out of the future with crazy synths, messed up tempos and psychedelic samples. There are so many different styles going on in the album, some of the tracks are heavy, some mellow, some club style, some just straight up hip-hop, and I love it all, but some of you may not, so don't let one track put you off! Danny Brown's lyrics are a lot of fun, most of the time he's very tongue in cheek with super violent and misogynistic lines about drugs and "making Sarah Palin deep throat till she hiccups", but this isn't gangsta rap, he's too intelligent for that, he's well aware how ridiculous it all is, but that's just his character, he's a fucking rock star, and he wants to die like one. Some of the tracks get a bit deeper, like DNA, which kind of hits home for me a bit, where he raps about his disposition to get "fucked up" all the time coming from his family genetics. There's too many tracks here too mention, just go find get this album, buy it, order it, download it (illegally or legally) get it on spotify, make a playlist on youtube for it, just get this damn album in your life, you need it.
Here's one of my favourites but you need to hear it all!
