Jessie B

Just heard this on the radio (yes, I listen to the radio, Radio One infact), and I fell in love. It's bloody gorgeous and cool and makes the most of both vocalists' talent. I've never been that much of a fan of Katy B, or even Jessie Ware until I saw her at Beacons festival and then witnessed her exquisite performance on Jools Holland's Later, but this has changed things for me.

Enjoy.

Sealion Woman

After reading an interesting interview/article about Fiest in UNCUT magazine this weekend, I've been continually brought back to one of my favourite ever Later Live with Jools Holland performances. Not only does the article follow up the critical responses to Fiest's most recent album, Metals (released in September 2011), it depicts the ever changing persona and career of one of Canada's finest musicians. The below performance is divine, and for me at least, tops the likes of James Blake, MGMT, Bloc Party, Lykke Li, Lissie and Bon Iver, all of whom I loved on Holland's show.

Enjoy kids, enjoy...

Kelly Rowland vs Beyonce - ultimate cat fight

is one of my favourite ever people. If it hadn't been for Beyonce's immediate take over of her former band mate right after the Xfactor semi finals on Sunday evening, she'd be my ultimate woman for the rest of December. However, Beyonce, true to form, took centre stage on the ITV's A Night With Beyonce. WTF. She is an actual goddess.

Kelly is too, just not the alpha-goddess that she perhaps deserves to be. I love both of the following clips so much it actually hurts. Not sure how to feel, but I love them both so dearly that my heart aches with every beat of their beautiful existences...

So, tonight is the night

That I shall be spending in Rescue Rooms attending Dollop, an event that is basically all about one of my favourite people, Mr. James Fucking Blake.
He shall be mine.

I will be there, consumed by a passion of lovers as yet unloved. And I shall be surrounded and absorbed by a wide and forever varied selection of friends, my sweet dear darling ones, as it is Miss Cirquedusoleil's birthday night, and all is very, very exciting.

So here we go, for the DJ set he shall be my muse, for the after-party of acoustic renditions of Feist and Joni Mitchell songs, he shall be my man.

J'espere ca, beaucoup...

The morning after the wretched night of pain that went before, ever more

Tracy Emin's Bed. 1998.

This, if ever there could be such a splendid thing, is the most accurate, pure and honest representation of every physical, sexual, regrettable moment of my ever-moving, ever fucking life.
The dirt, the filth, the cruel lurkings within my ever-hollowed mind reside upon this stinking mattress. Though I may not respect the rest of this beautiful artist's work, this is sheer artistic perfection in my ever-open eyes.

Home is where I want to be, but I guess I'm already there

I guess that this must be the place?

Patten's sweet suggestive vocal contributions compliment Mills' luscious, richly textured vocal perfectly. I think I'm in love with this.
Such a tremendous cover of one of my favourite all time songs beats even this. Sorry baby boys, (Brooklyn will have to wait...).

Cringin', Number Four

I really do miss this little lady, back in the day before she really got her repulsive swag(ger) on. Not sure if she quite tops Miss Misha B of Kelly's troop, so fresh her roots are dragging mud through the fucking carpets. One to watch.

Tricky, take two

Also, can't pick between these two track. Both lovely.

Haven't you heard the rumours?

You want me back? Nah baby. Words'll never be enough coming from your mouth.

Here's all I know

So I have those words tattooed onto my spine. Pretentious as fuck or whattt?
